Hi,

I'm wondering if it's possible to recieve the channels on this satellite as I want to buy a bein card + box for the football. I'm also aware that if it will be possible I'll need a big dish. Has anyone had any success within this area?

Thanks :-)

Searching across the forum there is one report from Swansea which isnt too far from you - no reception on a 2.4m dish. So unless you have the budget & land to go MUCH bigger than that - forget it.

I am in Bristol (ish). Not a sniff on 1.8m from this satellite. Ironically, further north there is a success story from @nelson_b who received a few transponders on his 2.4m,so I think we are in a "null" here.

I was sure you received some DVB-S transponders at relative low lock (below 5dB )

Your memory is better than mine C.J. ..... Just had a quick look now and locked a transponder at 5.6 d.b. ... need to go out for a while now but will return to this satellite in more detail later. Blue nile.jpg

Cheers.

ESH2 is a different kettle of fish. It's much stronger than 1 - in the south at least. I get a couple of transponders from that.
