Somewhere in England (possibly?)!
Somewhat "confused"! - is this LNB just usable for Eshail, or could it be used for general Ku band reception, and, if so, would it be of any major benefit to "most of us"????

Will work as a single universal lnb, but with no major benefit for general satellite tv reception. Seems like most benefit would be for narrowband or low symbol rate signals but as most consumer receivers won't tune anything with a symbol rate below 1000 I doubt there'd be any improvement for most of us.

A little less analogue, and a lot more crap.

It has the same local oscillator frequencies as a universal so it will not work on domestic receivers to get the important frequencies without a further downconverter in line.

They missed a trick here didnt they - fudge it somehow so a standard hobby rx can use it and they would shift a few

If the txco is replaceable without too much trouble then it will be useful, but not at the price mentioned.
