European channels in America

hey guys. i live in america and im wondering if i can watch euro2008 and other european channels free. im a noob and im wondering if there is a tutorial out there which will teach u on how to get channels for free. i tried looking in the forum for stickeys buy couldnt find any.
when i say total noob i mean i dont even know where to start. ill be very greatful if someone could show me the easiest way to start learning.

ou cant watch European channels in America fir the same reason Europeans can get the American channels

- the curvature of the Earth gets in the way

- even if you can see the satellites, they arent beaming their signals anywhere near you.

We cant advise you on how to get your pay tv services for free - ANY discussion of American providers is forbidden here as our servers are based Stateside. You would need to find an American forum.

This might not be ideal for you, but If you have friends in Europe, request them to record the games for you, burn them to DVD and send them by post.
There will be a delay of about one week, but at least you get to watch the games.
Remember that the system in Europe is PAL. So you need to check your DVD player first.

The other option is Slingbox hosting, but you need someone in Europe or the UK to host it for you on a good broadband connection.

You may also find some European programming on Internet TV feeds.
