Any chance of a copy of that test TS file? I'm just curious as to whether 4:2:2 content will play properly in Kodi (my main set-up nowadays is TVHeadend + Kodi Media Player + DVBSky DVB-S2 card)?

If you use VLC player with TV Headend it will play it, I am unsure about the rest please post your findings.

Jamie kindly sent me the TS file last night and I've just had chance to test it with Kodi.

All seems to play fine. The high CPU figures suggest that it's not being hardware decoded/deinterlaced by my nVidia GT630 graphics card via VDPAU though (a standard HD 1080i MPEG4 channel makes the CPU figures barely touch 5%). It seemed to look pretty good though! No choppiness.

Is anyone tuned into these feeds tonight for the jury rehearsal at 20.00 BST?

I would absolutely love to see this rehearsal live somehow but my dish isn't big enough to pick up these feeds :(

Many Thanks

Dish is currently pointed at 42E so chances are slim but I have tried the 7E feeds on my 80cm dish and it just doesn't pick them up at all.

Last year the Eurovision website put up a "hidden" web stream of the Jury rehearsal that I'm guessing was used in case the satellite cut out and myself and a few others managed to watch it this way. It hasn't lasted though as it looks like they found the loophole. :(

My findings with the 10e vs 7e feed:

EyeTV will play the 10e feed just fine, I think its MPEG 4 4:2:2 but not AVC?

To play the 7e one I have to pipe it through VLC.

Its probably still out there, as emergency back up - but the address can be changed easily enough, or it could be encrypted.

It's AVC, VLC has had 4:2:2 AVC support for sometime, maybe you need to upgrade your installation?

Coming through just fine from 10E on my 1.2 dish with the Alien 3 playing through the PC with VLC. UK have just been on.

Don't suppose you are recording it? :D (I expect not but worth a shot to ask)

Ah right, good to know. Thought that was why 10e would play for me but 7e I need VLC, guess theres another difference.

Sorry this may be a strange time to bump this but I just wondered if anyone has had any success previously picking up these Eurovision feeds with an 80cm dish?

An 80cm will be too small for feeds on both 7E & 10E.

Oh that's a shame :( Unfortunately I'm limited to 80cm only. Does this account for any feeds or just those on 7E/10E? I've been told there's some gems on 24.5w and 16e from time to time and would really like to pick up whatever I can.

You might get a few of the stronger feeds but feeds are typically transmitted at lower power than the broadcast stuff. Try it and see what you get - many of us use undersized dishes to good effect right round the orbital arc :)
