Don't know what's up with 16E but it's weak and Eutelsat footprint is not true at all, it reflects the power when the satellite was new.

Dunno why they can't update and reflect the real signal levels.

I saw on Satlex that the satellite will be replaced in 2009 which is 2 years from now

W2 isnt the most powerful sat in the European skies, but a 1m dish should give you plenty of signal. Its more than adequate here in southern Scotland for all the 16E tp's.

check the dish alignment as it could be out and you wont notice it on high power satellites like astra 1 or hotbird but you would with 16east

Also check the focal length of the LNB, try and peak it on 16E.

If using a motorised dish as your profile states, was it set up correctly on your due south satellite, not knowing exactly where in Germany you are we cannot confirm which that would be

With my Toroidal T90 where Astra 2A and 2B South Beams got a EIRP level of 45dBw here i get BER free signal and good SNR.

However with 16E W2 which is supposed to have a level more than 50dBW i get BER readings of 200-300 and SNR much lower.

So W2 is worse than 45dBW in signal footprint.

Is an 80cm dish sufficient to pick up 16E in northern England?

I have 1.1m m8 but I'm helping someone else who has an 80cm Triax. We were messing around last night & I had no probs finding Hotbird 13E or Astra 19.2E but getting a signal between them just wasn't happening.

I'm gonna go back up & skew the lnb but other than that, all I can think of is maybe the dish is too small 'O'-red
