Hello all,

I bought myself a diseq 1.2 motor willing to catch some english channels from astra 2 but i fail to find the sat! I am in Brussels (Lat: 50.83 Long: 4.333) - have 80cm, monoblock for astra 1+hotbird + inerstar rec. upgradable.

The problem is that i do not know where to start and which sat to look for first with my motor. Is it possible to watch: sirius 2/3 (5), astra 1, hotbird and astra 2 without manual adjustments to the dish all the time????

I have cought astra 1, hotbird and sirius so far - latter required increasing inclination of my dish.

Thank you for your help.

Simon

You should ideally be using the motor with a standard universal LNB and set up your due South satellite as 5E, then you will have more luck with finding the rest of the arc, the monobloc may cause conflicts.

There is only one procedure for setting up a DiseqC motor and any deviation from it is counter productive.

Get the pole straight (perfectly vertical).
Set the lattitude on the motor body (50.83 in your case) and lock it up.
Moving the motor on the pole for azimuth and the dish elevation, find 5E and lock up the dish and motor.
Then go to your receiver and scan for satellites.
