Hi all.

I'm almost getting this receiver to have some CS fun with it, but before i venture into the unknown would like to ask you for a few links with all the tools to help me set it up.
I went to a few sites and got nowhere really fast. It seems my google abilities are not that good. I'd really apreciate some help.

Does anyone know of any good sites? Or members that have this receiver?

Glad to see the community helping. By the way how do i get gbox to work on it?
Hi Prophessor
That's what you get for indulging yourself and splashing out on a piece of kit nobody has ever seen or heard of . I assume it is a linux based stb, :-rightondo you have a picture. What is it based around and who manufactures it? I thought you would find it a piece of cake, coming from your part of the world:p

Sorry do not know what gbox is!

It's sort of a dm500 with PVR and priced as such, you can install a hard drive and record whatever you want and even install some DM images. I guess you can have multiboot as well, but i still haven't tried much on it.
As for the rest i have it up and running perfectly, thanks to my mate polo_, my real problem was with my shitty modem/router.

It does what you expect a linux box can do.

On the plus side
- very fast zapping
- ability to install plugins\games\skins over the internet
- some DM images will work on this model along with all the included bonuses
- it's not as cheap made as some dm models
- looks and feels very solid
- ability to stream tv to your desktop
- remote control can control almost any tv
- CS and other similar stuff works like a charm

On the minus side
- remote control PVR buttons are a bit too small
- not that much support from the community, compared to the dm receivers
- disecq feature is not standard, not that i had any issues with it works great with my vbox
- not a dreambox (this one goes to the fan boys every where)

Most of the dm utilities will work with this receiver. All in all it's much like a regular dreambox, but better looking IMO. Would be perfect if it had a high def tunner.

OK thanks for that, I have of course heard of the relook but was not aware it was being re-badged, and why would I??? Again sorry I cannot help you. Certainly looks like a nice peice of kit and the specs seem to bear that out>

I have it all sorted now.
It's not that difficult to set up. If you already have a nice image, a lan and a nullmodem cable it takes 35/40 minutes to do have all the plugins and CS working.
Flashing takes 20 minutes total, installing the All In One panel (same as blue panel for DM) takes less than 1 minute, installing plugins/addons takes a few seconds. Depending on the image, doing a full scan, ie hotbird, will take up to 15 minutes. It has a card slot, don't know if it's of any use, i won't be using it. People say it has a sharp tuner, i'm not sure will have to take a look myself some day... but i have less break ups than before.
It's working fine, that's good enough for me.

Any non official image will do as long as it can use plugins and emus. On some images you might need to install IPK plugin to get lot's of options on blue button. On others it already has lots of options on yellow button so you just have to download and install it, like nabilosat 0.8.
I'm using a sfteam image at the moment.
Check these pics.
