Put out 4x feeders (2 with seeds & 2 with suet balls) last Friday, but I have yet to see even ONE small bird eating at any of them - must be all the cats (including 2 of ours, + a small garden statue of another!) around here .
What make of fat balls are you using?

When I put out wilkinson's fat balls, nothing would eat them, not even the local mice.

I swapped them for peckish fat balls, and now I have plenty of pigeons, magpies, a little black bird, and a robin.

But the robin hasn't been back for some time now.

Our Hula Valley Lake provides a place for all kind of birds to visit and stay during the winter.
There is plenty of food too.

Spotted a rook in the middle of a bush, delicately picking sunflower hearts from the feeder yesterday. No wonder we don't get many goldfinches!

There are still a few Pheasant that escaped the mass murder of the Game Shooting season in and around the village.

As the Gamekeepers' feeders have been removed, they forage where they can ...... eating the husks and other debris from my bird table is a favourite spot.

Somewhere in England (possibly?)!
Here there' nothing more than sparrows, a few starlings and the very occasional robin most of the time, and with some green parakeets later in the year (ignoring the crowds of gulls, feral pigeons and a few grey squirrels - although I did see a "black"grey squirrel several times early last year).
