Hi Guys,

Quick tech question.
Ive got a small feedhorn on my Quad and Im planning to change it over to a larger one. Im gonna get one from Future in Limassol soon, but I wanted to ask about changing it over.
Is the difference between the two just the diameter of the round bit which screws on the end, or is it the whole Feedhorn which is different? Will I just be able to unscrew the round bit and replace it with a larger diameter one, or does the whole LNB need to be dismantled?

Cheers for any tips.

Mike

The diameter of the flange is wider and the actual feed might be shorter if you have an old one.The threads might match but sometimes on older ones you might get dust and crap in the thread and you might have difficulty screwing or unscrewing the flange and it could get stuck (forever).

Better to just change the whole lot over Mike. Its dead easy on a Famaval...

The Focal distance is exactly 93cm and the scalar ring is exactly in line with the end of the center 'wave guide' part of the feed.

Cheers
