Hi, at the moment i have a 64cm dish just pointed at hotbird and a 45cm pointed at astra2, i wish to remove the 45cm dish, and just use the 64cm dish, but i wish to pickup astra1/2 and hotbird and also some others if possible like sirius etc. Will 64cm be enough to pickup other satellites? i know for a fact it can pickup hotbird/astra1/2 perfect as i have re-aligned myself to test.
I am situated in the midlands in england if that helps.

Also what price should i pay for motor installation including parts

You'll pick up quite a lot with the 64cm, but in my opinion a minimum for a motorised system would be 80cm. If you subscribe to Sky, then you'd be better off keeping the 45cm dedicated to that service.

Hardware + fitting costs will depend largely on where the dish is to be sited etc. If you are using a reputable company then they wil probably offer you a survey and price. Disecq will run a dish up to 1 metre quite comfortably.

Yes, the sub 1 metre dishes are not only cheaper but can use DiseqC motors, there are some prices mentioned in some of the other threads in this section, particularly with regard to DiseqC motors.

Can't really give you too much guide on fitting price, as the installation costs vary quite dramatically.

a triax 78cm dish would be a good investment for what you want to receive also the stab100 motor would be a good purchase.both of these shouldnt dent your wallet too much.

if you wanted to really save some money..you could install both of these with a little help from the guys and girls on this forum/website or whatever it is :-) yourself.the reward for doing it yourself would be much better than paying someone to do it for you.

is it easy enough to do though ?, since my neighbour has a motor and it looks very complicated :\. Also i dont really fancy drilling holes in my wall. I already have a bracket mounted obvoisly. Could it be used ?

if youve already got the wall mount then thats a good start.add the motor then the dish and then you can start messing about with finding the different satellites.

im not so worried about aligning since i have done that before, im worried about drilling holes into my wall, if i already have the bracket fitted and sat dish on it is it just a case of taking off dish, and putting a motor in between the bracket and dish then re-align? i.e. no drilling heh
