Either your motor is not set at zero on your highest satellite (5w ?)

Or your dish face is not at exactly 90deg to your motor .

Try these first :)

Set my motor back to 0, and tried to look for 5W, i cant find it anywhere!

The only west sat i can find is 1W and can find all the east sats.

Im guessing my dish is off?

The motor latitude is set to 56 as its the latitude of glasgow.

There was no dish elevation givin by the manufacturer in the instructions.

Ive set the dish elevation to 22 degrees.

The only west sat i could find was 1W so i set the motor to 3 degrees east and found 1W. 3 degrees east is what i got after reading the Manhattan HH120 instructions, the bit where it tells you to calculate the difference between the sat and your position.

After doing that i could move to any east sat without a problem, just cant seem to get any west sats. The mount seems to be straight.

Im guessing its something to do with the dish angle?

cheers

OK - you need to zero your motor. then make sure the dish is at a right angle to it. then move the whole lot on the pole till you find 1w again. Then tune to
12615H or 12711H on your reciever and move the whole assy slowly left ( if you are facing the LN:cool: You should get 5W then. When you have peaked it then you can lock it off and adjust the elevation and LNB skew for maximum smoke.

Keep us posted though. :)

Hi pothead13

If your lat is 0.194 west your nearest south satellite is Thor at 1W not sirius, try for BBC world on 11325H, 24500, 7/8.

Yes - to be absoulutley spot on then that is what you do. Remember to square the dish face first when on zero though. Then turn the motor to 1w and move the whole assy to peak on PCD's transponder. Then adjust elevation and skew last after locking the pole off.

Simple as that :)
