Well, as usual i'm the odd one out.

Browser: Maxthon.
Mail: Thunderbird.

Maxthon's best feature is the 'grab and drop' tab/new window function. Else, its IE by any other name.

Firefox gets my respect, but, I haven't a clue how to unravel the cache? So I only use it when I am checking cross-browser compatibility or when Maxthon has gone titsup.

Thunderbird rocks.

Mark.

Firefox, I only keep IE for those few sites that just won't play with FF. (Usually, those sites just never see me again, but sometimes I have to make concessions ..)

Firefox is reputedly much more secure, and I find it better to use.

However, very slow to start! I click the icon, then go put the kettle on ....

Same with Thunderbird, LOL.

Why does Mozzilla stuff take an age to load up ????

Archiving mail is a nightmare too.

I think you have an older version of FireFox. Better download a new version beta. Mine is working faster every time.

Have Firefox 1.5.0.3 and Thunderbird 1.5.0.4 - the last major update improved speed no end - but is still a slow starter compared to other alternatives. To be fair, It only has to start-up once, hehe.

Spooky :0 - I'd say that within 10 minutes of posting earlier today - Firefox prompted an update  We are now 1.5.0.4 (US Eng).

Using Opera but Firefox handles the pager messages better than Opera & IE.

Tried Opera briefly - then went off it just as quickly (back in the days when the free version had ads). Very quick to load and use.

When another browser gives me 'drag and drop' tabs - i'll resign Maxthon to the bin - till then, Maxthon has a decent ad blocker/other filters, saves files that cant be saved in IE or Firefox, does RSS and IRC and, of course, has the infamous 'grab-n-flick' drag-and-drop.
