Human rights activists have accused French defence firm Thales of selling the radio-jamming equipment that's was recently used in the Chinese crackdown on Tibet. Writing in The New Republic,respected French thinker Bernard-Henri Levi claimed that the ChineseGovernment had "purchased parabolic antennas from the Frenchcompany Thales that allow them to reinforce their Great Wall with soundwaves that scramble all American and British radio broadcasts inChinese.
