I bet the tw@ts i used to work for will be running around like headless chickens later on today if the new Mux's are put straight out at full power:-lmao

Some of the systems that have been installed were installed were set up with the power output so high you can guarentee when the digital muxes are at full power it will swamp the receivers connected to it.

I would say there are going to be quite a lot of service calls in the next few days around Hackney, Westminster and Kensingington and Chelsea :-ohcrap

Still it deserves them right since quality control was never their strongest thing :D

Should only be the new 200kW BBCA / BBCB multiplex fired up. ITV in PAL shows as moved channel.

We have 180kW and 200kW here in the Midlands. SE riggers need to prepare for a big drop in aerial work as 8K mode will pretty much guaranteed that.

All were off last night until I retired, but this morning ITV is the only missing analogue channel, and the BBC digital mux has been shifted into the vacant channel 23 slot.

And the revised BBC mux (channel 26) is 8PSK only, leaving all of the ITV digital boxes (and almost all the hybrid tube IDTVs) unable to receive the new stuff.

Luckily I still have the Panasonic PVR that captures them, but the picture quality is lacking compared to the mongrel Bush TV internals. Still it lasted over ten years without a hitch (well one)

http://www.satellites.co.uk/forums/...3-transistor-required-bush-idtv.html?langid=7

and will continue as a monitor for the time being.

A sad day.

Only lost bbc2 on analogue here, and itv has been moved to that frequency.

Only had one remaining analogue only tv in the house, and got one of those mini tuners that goes into the scart, works a treat and can record too.

Yes, we got our four analogue signals from the Hertford Relay ( part of the Crystal Palace group ). We've never had channel 5.

Lost BBC2 last Wednesday and as Robbo says, its slot was taken up by ITV and BBC2's slot was just noise.

The other channels go Wednesday week. Hence my new interest in Satellite reception as our relay is only going to be Freeview lite i.e. 15 PSB channels only.

ISTR the figures are 52% of the Borders population gets Freeview Lite. Only the folks served by Selkirk get the full monty - the poor beggars on the 9 0r 10 relays get half the service. This did NOT go down well round here when the news was released I can tell you!

We're (allegedly) on Pontop Pike too ................ virtually last to DSO and predictions that we shall remain resolutely DTT free even when the power goes up!

Satellite is our Saviour.

Maybe you just need a bigger aerial... O-Ha

Plenty DTT being radiated by PP, seeing how I'm watching it now... :D
