A flash mob plans to gather under US magician David Blaine's perspex box just before the end of his 44-day London stunt.

Peter Bowles, one of the organisers of the so-called flash mob event, says the stunt's been planned to take place during Blaine's final week of extreme hunger.

He says it could be London's biggest flash mob, but says it will be a peaceful, but fun event.

Mr Bowles is urging participants to bring a food item to be held up to David when they gather for the event at 7.44pm on October 13 beneath the box at Tower Bridge.

Mr Bowles says those wishing to take part should check a website 44 hours before the event for further details.

The flash mob phenomenon, in which crowds organised by email and websites perform pointless stunts, started in the US and has spread around the world
