Still decidedly chilly here (the bird bath was frozen last night) - however the OH now has 3 rows of spuds planted up at her allotment, plus the cabbages onions & shallots are in.

If the BBC tell me once more how glorious it is in Laandan I'm gonna puke ...
Another cloudy relatively dark overcast and un-summery day here in Manchester ..
Time to apply the rust screen factor 50 again ..
..otherwise known as a brolly ..
Just about to take my consitutional around the local park ..
..armed with brolly and walking stick..
Not actually raining atm ..but certainly looking threatening.
Will summer ever come ..or has it been and gone ?
2 days in April does not a summer make.
cest la vie

Blusterly with rain here today, not expected to end until early evening on Tuesday.

Better weather forecast for the end of the week, but still...

According to Daily Fail, there's a "blistering heatwave" coming later this week. I guess that means something mildly over 20C...

Usually a 5 degree difference in temp maintained between that other country London and Oooop North..
I would however love to proved wrong..

My CH has been in use for most of May ..and was needed again last night..

I am about as far from Landan as I am from Manchester! I guess it is warmer here but not by very much...

Looks like Tuesday could be a toasty one, so, get the ice made now for those cold drinks you're going to need... :D

Wife has been busy making elderflower cordial. Absolutely nothing better for cutting through the clagg at the back of your throat when you're really hot and thirsty.

Stop mowning! Was visiting Laandan thursday, and that was my first *real* sense of summer this year.
We've had nothing but spring/autumn so far in Denmark this year.
Admittedly, we went just over 20 degerees one day a few weeks ago, but luckily, the weather corredted itself back to 14 degree C the next day.
Watching weather forecasts for France and especially España makes me cringe - why is summer to tantalisingly close yet still not here??

Notwithstanding this - I've been firing up the Barbie since february - it works great as long as it doesn't pelter down with snow.
Are you grilling away?

I'll be able to flash up soon. We bought a barbie (charcoal type of course, no LPG for us) at the auctions last Wednesday.
