Is there an optimum focal position for a LNB when used with an offset dish?
I am in the process of making a new bracket to replace the previous broken one..
As the signal is reflected provided the LNB is centered on the lower half of the dish
I assume this should be adequate. Thanks for your help.

Yes Bill, it's quite critical to ensure that the LNB is in the correct focal position, if you have the old bracket then try and copy the position exactly. Whether it's central is probably secondary to whether it's at the right focal distance from the dish.
