Advice Needed FreeSat in Mainlva {La Duquesa} Spain

Hello all,
I'm moving to Spain shortly and I'm hoping that I'll be able to watch BBC/ITV etc. when we get there. All searches seem to give me results for north Spain, east Spain and I don't seem to be having any joy for the area we're moving to. Any, any advice would be gratefully received on what TV channels we can watch/what TV won't be available. Is any of our current equipment {Sky box} any good for watching FreeSat once we arrive or do I need to get a different decoder. What size dish we might need??

Malaga... BBC ITV C4 and Five via Sky / Freesat needing a dish of at least 3 or 4m or larger... other free but less popular channels (Sky News, Pick) can be received on a 100cm dish.
which is why people use either bbcsatback on intelsat 27.5 (80cm ish dish needed, and compatible receiver) , or internet options for these channels in that area.

Welcome to the forum!

You have no chance whatsoever of the BBC ITV C4 & C5 transponders via 28E in the Malaga area. With the right receiver and a bit of tinkering you might get some of the channels via 27.5W - at least until the BBC get round to tightening that route up.

Thanks for the welcome and both of ye for the info, I might end up using a VPN or DSN which I was hoping to avoid as they can slow down the internet

I live in Alicante and a 120 cms dish. I can see all ITV, C4, C5 (only 5 in HD). All BBC channels (except Red Button 2 to 6 when available). Tru, CBS... No chance to see some músic channels... But I can enjoy a lot of them. And FTA, less problems
