No!!!!! Where would it get its signal from??? or are you intimating that you are receiving British terrestrial TV signals in Spain??? If so then how I'm sure lots of expats will be interested.

The aerial would be a hazard to high flying aircraft

Sorry guys, I have to disagree.

A terrestrial Freeview box probably WILL work in Spain, but only to receive the Spanish DTT transmissions.

A couple of caveats though. There have to be transmissions in your area and it has to be one of the later DTT boxes that can understand 8k transmissions as well as the 2k transmissions used in the UK.

PaulR

There's talk of the UK going over to 8k transmissions in the future. This will make the old OnDigital/ITV Digital boxes, some early Sony IDTVs and some very early Freeview redundant.

Does anyone know if a NovaT2 does 8k and 2k?

Sorry for :-hijack but I tried my USB NovaT2 in Spain on a shared house aerial and got nothing, so I was wonder if it was the receiver or the aerial.

DTT is available in the area but the aerial is pretty poor, I don't know if anyone receives it on the shared aerial I used.

Sorry about my post previously, I had forgotten that this is an intellegent forum. It is surprising the number of people going on holiday to mediteranean countrys who expect to get English TV if they take their DTT box with them (doh!).
