can anyone tell me if i can get the freeview channels on my computor
if so what equipment or software do i need and is it hard to install
myself. also does anyone know of any new channels coming to
freeview for kids ie- cartoon network.. thanks in advance

Technomate 5402 HD M2 Ci, DM7000s, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Promax HD Ranger+ spectrum analyser.

Yes you can, you will need a PCI Digital TV card, Hauppauge do one, I believe called the Nexus T.

Not sure if there is much more in the way of childrens channels coming up, but there is sure to be an increased channel line up in the future.

My Satellite Setup
Sky HD, TM6800HD, Manhattan Plaza ST550 and TM1500 CI+. 1.0m dish and 36v motor, Panasonic DVD HDD recorder and Panasonic video/DVD recorder. Sony G800 HD TV stand/surround system + Sony KDL40W2000. Infinity USB, Elvis, CAS1, CAS2.

You will also need an aerial link to your computer to plug into the nexus, plus it will need connecting to your computer's sound card or external sound source. There is also a small tv tuner box that connects to computers via a USB port so avoiding the need to open up the computer.
