I am looking for a cheap FTA box to use at a holiday home in Tenerife. At the moment, the flat has an ancient digibox but no viewing card so it is a real pain to listen to FTA radio or TV channels on 28.2 because you have to go to Other Channels and the memory keeps wiping etc.
We have no intention of paying for a murdoch subscription so I am looking for a decent, cheap FTA box to replace it. Can anyone recommend a good one at a low price?
Thanks in advance.

For £99 Maplin have a full FTA satellite system...

or the Lidl receivers pop up on eBay often (Comag or Silvercreast) don't think they will have then again till early 2006.

Thanks - very useful. Would a fortec be better than a comag sl 65? I see a few of these on Ebay for around the same price.

Sure the Comag can be 'patched' not sure if the Fortec can.

Do a search here for 'Comag' and you will get a lot more information ;-)

If you just want a cheap digital box pop along to your local DIY store. They're about 50 euros here in france and you can get all the BBCs and ITVs and the radio in digital.
No CI Cams etc just a basic simple box. Take a look at Kelkoo.es and enter FTA or numerique or what ever it is in spanish.
