hi guy's,
just a quicky,
what would be in your oppinion the furthest westerly and easterly sat (with strongest transponder) that u reckon i could get with my 1mtr funke dish,
serious answers appreciated,
i already have 30w and 28.2 e:-beer

It all depends on the surrounding line of site.

Are there buildings/trees on the horizons ?
Does the motor allow full movement to the horizon ?

With certain dishes the arc you can receive is almost identical to the line that the boom arm would make in the sky.

hypotetically if i lived in cheshire (which i do) and there were no obstacles(which there are, but not many) and it's on a wall facing approx 2deg east (the wall that is, which it is)

178 degrees ?

If so and the dish can track to the horizon (and is perfectly on the arc), then you are looking at 68.5 E (Try the SABC channels), and 58 W (Chinese feeds)
