There is a 'handy' gadget that u connect to ur LNB and just move the dish around to tune the satellite that you want. No need to carry the television and receiver up to the roof! Does anyone have a name for a "not too expensive"one. Whats it called anyway? A link for this info would be great. Thanx

What you are looking for is a digi sat meter of some kind. they range in price from £20 for a bleeper to £400 for the top of the range. Try looking in one of the satellite mags:

It's worth getting one that beeps, because it's difficult to look at the meter and move the dish at the same time. Mine has an LED display which is almost impossible to read in bright sunlight, but great in the evenings (which is the only chance I get to mess with my dish:rolleyes: ). I guess the needle type are easier in daylight, but not so good in the evenings.

Well worth the investment.

Phil.

Thanx guys, sorry I couldn't say that before. I tried several times but failed cos of the 'net' problems, then I forgot all about it! Where I'm currently located, they still depend upon the dial-up connections! Thanx once again!

If it's anything like mine, you'll need to get some earplugs too cos it's an ear-piercingly loud noise when you get a satellite!!! O-Ha

But Blu-Tak usually sorts out the volume... :D
