On the Astra 1 channels ie RTL, RTL2, Kabel 1 etc, is it possible when the American or British shows are on, to be able to change back to English? I've read that people change their PID settings, would this make a difference?

Only if they are transmitting the original sound, in most cases they don't I'm afraid.

You are right German TV isn't the best. I am learning the language, so it helps me. Saying that they have at least 5 music channels. It's ok to watch in German, but I can only understand around 50%, so it would be good to switch to English the odd time.

If you want to learn the lingo that's ok then. Be sure though to keep to original German productions and not those scheisse overdubbed ones. They are really annoying...

Nur im Notfall!
It is always better to use English in this board, even if you think it is not up to scratch (this goes for everyone in all languages) so other users can understand.
So, is there anything we can do for you here? Any questions?
