Well got hold of a type 121 KA dish , The dish face is a lot more heavy than the ku equivalent 1.2 , I have temporarily set it up I have taken a spare set of 1.2m ku arms and used them for now as the arms that come with it only allow for a 20mm feed/lnb , set it up and it worked where the ku band version of the dish would not on sarosat , Have tried to upload some photos but the forum says the size is to big

Pic size is 1MB max, IIRC.

PixResizer works well in shrinking them individually or in batches.

If you use a windows computer just use the snipping tool when you have the image displayed - a great tool to get to know how to use

We ask members not to use image hosting sites as the pics have a nasty habit of disappearing so the thread becomes meaningless in the future

The reason there will be a size limit on images is due to the bandwidth costs associated with big images. These forums are not free to run - everytime somebody loads a big image there are costs associated with it. Senior admin Chris has to pay all the hosting & bandwidth fees - adverts & the donations we get probably wont cover the running costs.

And remember - membership of the forum is completely free and open to all - we dont charge anyone anything to be a member here.

In addition to PixResizer, if you can transfer the files to a PC you can use "Paint" to crop them and reduce the file size. Or, you can use the "Paint" resize option.

... that's my method as well .. (Paint), and then store the 'reduced' images in a dedicated forum folder to return back to if required.

I still use my ancient Olympus 1.3 megapixal camera for this site, ideal, do not need to resize the pictures at all...

When uploading photos on this site from ios13 it gives you the option to resize. Choose medium or small and they'll upload fine.

Interesting, the foundation reflector has been reworked at the factory (or onwards) to allow different feed arm variants.
