The Amiko A4K is also worth consideration only F connection in so I use a A/B switch for 2nd receiver,

A receiver with a loop through is no guarantee that you will get all of the signals through to the 2nd receiver as some software actually blocks some signals to the 2nd receiver,

Do not use one of these either as they also block some signals as I found out recently.

A/B switch for coaxial cable this will give you all of the Ku band with no blocked frequencies.

I'm looking at E2 boxes now, I know them inside and out but thought the tuners were never that sensitive, unless things have improved?

Forget Enigma2 receivers if you want decent blindscan!

The software (actively) blocks some frequencies? How do they do that? And why?
Or do you just refer to the fact that with your second receiver you only have access to one of the quadrants, when the first receiver has control?
Do not use one of these either as they also block some signals as I found out recently.

A T-piece doesn't actively block signal. However as it has no internal parts, you get the possibility of mismatch of impedance, and of interference, causing bad reception on (unpredictable) frequencies.
A real 'splitter' would be better.

Yes an equal tee won't work, you will also feed voltage back up the other receiver.
And A33 is right, if the first receiver is tuned to a frequency the LNB will be high low V/H etc.

Might have to give up on the Blindscan and just get feeds that people have already put up, or I get a decent E2 box with passthrough and a really cheap box like a Freesat V7 to do the blindscanning.

Looking at the Mutant HD51, anything better than this tuner wise?

Might order a VU+ Uno 4K SE, just need to check if they are selling the DVB-S2X version yet.

That's exactly what I did. When I got my motorised dish, blind scan was an absolute must but as time went by, I realised that I never actually used it much. It was far easier and quicker for me to visit sites like satelliweb and sat-benelux, where feeds are constantly being posted for all the sats across the arc.

Nowadays, whats more important to me is a receiver that has a sensitive tuner and enables me to stream across my network. I've been using a Vu+Zero for the past year and although it was only meant to be temporary, I love this little box as it does exactly what I need. I successfully watched last year's 4:2:2 Eurovision rehearsals from the feed through streaming it over my network to my FireTV - really impressed as the bitrate was well over 40 Mbps.

Cheers for the info, I was streaming my E2 box to my Fire TV, so probably going to stick with E2 just to keep that.
My Solo2 had Blindscan but I never actually tried it lol!

Does anyone do a box that has DVB-S2X, FBC and Blindscan?

You'd be lucky to find one that does *either* of these things properly, let alone all of them.

No.
But currently the blind search does not work and if it does, very badly.
The tuners that there are now are only DVB-S2.
The DVB-S2X should already be on sale from January.:N

PS: All Without FBC.

I checked with WOS forums and seems WOS are not selling with DVB-S2X yet, so looks like this box is off the list.
