Hi

Hope someone can help, I've recently bought a new Golden Interstar 8300 which may have already been patched for when you press '0'.

For some reason today the receiver when started goes into a loop.

It starts, I get the interstar logo and then it turns off, it then starts again and displays the logo before turning off again and repeats.

It seems that I'm in an eternal loop making the receiver unusable.

Are their any reset codes or do I have to reinstall the firmware inside by connecting to my PC?

Any help appreciated

Cheers :)

Welcome to the forum mrphp

It certainly does not sound very good at all. Have a look here scroll down to golden interstar the green options are sites that do unofficial patches ;)

Going to take it back to my dealer only had it a few days but it seemed to be already patched? As when I entered 8282 then 0 I was able to edit k*ys

Looks like I'm on my first step to learning how to update the software myself.

I take it I need the RS 232c cable and upload the patched firmware myself following instructions carefully.

:confused
