Google agrees to 64p compensation over Street View trespassing

The internet search giant has accepted that it trespassed on the couple's property when taking a photo for its Street View service.

But Google will only pay a paltry 64p in compensation.

A Google spokeswoman told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that the resolution is limited to the Pennsylvania case and that they won't stop taking photos.

The Borings sued the company two years ago when Google Street View encroached onto their property by positioning a vehicle on the private road which formed their driveway.

While the compensation received doesn't amount to much, the couple were successful in getting Google to 'concede liability as an intentional
