Hi there - It depends on if you are looking for something specific or are not
too bothered as long as it's Greek.

There are a lot of free to air channels on Hellas sat2 have a look here and see if this is what you are after.

OK
A good 80cm dish and a good quality LNB will do the trick from most of the UK and if you only want the free to air stuff then you can get an FTA reciever for about £80 - 100.

Irdeto 2 reception will require a different reciever but not much different.

I suspect the major cost will be in the 'Official' (sorry) card.

It depends on what you are willing to spend and if you only want to watch that satellite for ever. If not then you may want to consider something that will be a bit more flexible.

We do not as one of the rules here recommend ANY shop / dealer. Unless they have a too good to miss thing going on. You need a reciever with a common interface slot to start with.

Any questions as they arise then ask again.
there is a lot of help here.

:)

You need a receiver with CI slots to accept the suitable cam for your desired proveider.. For Nova it will be an Irdeto CAM (a cam is a small box of electronics that the card slots into,a nd the CAM slots into the receiver.) A decent dealer will be able to tell you which receiver work well with the Nova package.

Irdeto 2 is secure, so you will need to buy an official card for Nova, probably NOT cheap in the UK.

Whenever looking for a system, always buy better then you initially think you require, you can guarantee that your needs will widen as time goes by.

If you think that you might subscribe to the Greek package, then you may want to buy a receiver with a card slot and embedded Irdeto CAM, the Maplin receiver doesn't have this capability and the advert doesn't say how big the dish is either, you really do need a 70 or 80cm for solid reception of 13E. You may also decide that you want to receive channels from other satellites or providers, so a motor would be handy or perhaps a multiple LNB setup with a DiseqC switch.

Have a look at a more specialised satellite retailer, you will normally get better support from them.

Hellas is quite low on the horizon compared to the other two, your dish will appear to be pointing downwards.
