I have a Greogrian 90cm dish. Mate is an installer and was asked to replace it on a job.

It's heavy, very heavy and white. It's not a Fibo as it is steel.

Customer said it is about 9 years old.

It's in very good condition, a tad bit of paint flaking on the back but all the brackets etc are good.

Is it genuine? I thought all Gregorians were aluminium? What LNB needs to be fitted to it?

Will a Disecq drive it?

Cheers

Hi Wolfboy

Sounds like you have got one of the French Gregorians.
Nanochickin was selling one in Classifieds recently.I think he sold it on Ebay.
He might be able to help you.

My Fibo is steel, can you take a couple of photos wolfboy?

I'm not sure I'd want to put mine on a DiSEqC motor, as it is very heavy.

white gregorys was made also,by german company freecom ,long time ago,i have one with 80 cm size in white,on the net,i found no information about this dish!
french gregorys i never seen, the older gray material, feel a little bit difrents ,when you have both in hand according!
but the weight is exactly the same, gray older modell, and deep black, philiphs, was a little bit newer, the refelctor,of the gray one, that i have sold now,is around a half cm bigger in size, but on the first you you dont see this little difrence!
the 55 cm,has also difrent material, then the 90 cm ,its looks and "feel"much more massive !and its very heavy!:)

Yes sure, i'll post some pic's when I can figure out how to get it in my car to bring it home haha.

At the moment I have a an 8ft, 2inch diameter pole filled with cement which goes a fair way into the ground. On this I have my 1m orbital which is no where near as heavy. Driving my orbital is a Moteck SG2100.

I have an Echostar AD3000 which is obviously 36 volt so the 36 volt route wouldnt be a problem.

What type of LNB's do the Gregorians need? A normal one or C120?

I'm pretty sure it's steel as it's suffering from a little bit of paint flake.

If it has a feed horn then a c120 lnb will fit, if not use a 40mm lnbf:)
