I've just had a plasma tv, and paid for installation, due to having to connect to new surround sound & (combined dvd player,vhs recorder)and fortec star & my sky box, but can anyone tell me is it possible to connect them all so as I can use the sky remote for the volume instead of using the one for the surround sound, as like most people, (I think) we use the sky remote the majority of the time . thanks in advance cheers

I don't think it's posssible to control the DVD combo unit with the $ly remote as it only has codes for TVs.
What you want is a 4 in 1 (or 5 in1, or 6 in 1 etc) replacement remote control with "punch down" capabilty which can be programmed to alter the volume control of the DVD regardless of what other device it is set to control.
