Have I broken it?

I have been trying to reposition my dish recently, by using a satellite meter.. but one of the times I attached it, I stupidly forgot to turn off the receiver. Consequently, the receiver (Technomate 1500) doesn't work.

I am really hoping that some will tell me that it is just a fuse or something that I can fix..not holding my breath though. Hope someone can help me - Jennie.

Welcome to the forum Jennie.

Most receivers have some sort of protection on the LNB input, just switching off at the wall socket will often reset the protection. Not sure about the Technomate though, it would be very unusual if an LNB short could disable it permanently.

ive done it a few times by mistake just turn it off and it should be ok.

most recievers have a milliamp fuse inside them i know becuse i have blown mine many times
