I managed to fill up the disk (the built-in one, not an add-on) with a big file in /tmp and the remote control stopped working. Managed to telnet to the box but it wouldn't let me delete anything. Said there wasn't enough space!

I tried a cold boot and flash erase and it's now at the stage where I have to put in settings but the remote control still won't work so I can't actually do anything.

Any suggestions?

What an idiot! I must have accidentally hit the TV button on the remote, that's why it wasn't working. I may have just flash erased my db completely unnecessarily.

Is there a rank below junior member? If not maybe we should create one just for me.

LOL, sure you're not the only one to do it, glad you got it sorted though. :)

This is something that many people will read and remember, I'll bet it save a lot of new users a great deal of heartache.

It should be included in the DreamBox manual!

Could be a 7000 5600 remote difference T_G
If I hit TV, it throws my TV (Phillips) to a different scart (digibox).

I get at least one call a wk in my office from er indoors who says TV remote is wrecked. Its always her or the cat has pressed VCR or DVD or SAT on the Philips handset.

OK, I see. It is always a worry if the pussy is watching Freextv while one is at work. Good that you haven't got a dog because they tend to chew on them rather than just change the scart :p

You think THAT's bad.

My cat has worked out how to reset/change the PIN on my Digibox, and has racked up a PPV bill of over £300 this month!

Well, that's not true, but I'm so bored tonight that I have to make stuff up.

Cat's are too stupid. It was actually the dog.

Could have been the wife?

No, must have been the dog.
