I doubt even 4.2m would pick up 2D from Egypt...

I had a feeling that Robbiewright used to get 2D from Cairo, will check his old posts. :)

OK, checked them, he had a 3m dish and couldn't get 2D, you are probably right.

There you go peterborough123 - you need a silly sized dish.

Tell you mum shes going to miss eastenders, and if she cant bear to be separated from them then she will have to stay at home :D

If you have broadband, you can probably find a slingbox host who can provide the freeview channels for three weeks. try slingboxhosting.co.uk or broadbandcb.com

peterborough123 you can watch Eastenders on BBC Prime via the Multivision package on Hotbird 13E. However, you will need a Technomate 1500 CI+ Super or Technomate 1000D Super with the latest Darkman patch. For more info go to alsat

I hope this helps mate :)

NickCY, trying not to sound picky here, but the idea is that we answer peoples questions here and ideally not send them off to another forum, particularly one where it is not permitted to even mention the name of another forum. ;)

Yes of course it is to help, just that your last two posts have ended by sending people off to another forum, when all of the information is available here. As I said, I wouldn't mind so much if it was reciprocated by some of the other forums, but it isn't, try and post the url to this forum on alsat and see how far you get.;)

Can I suggest that the only cost-effective solution is to have the programmes recorded onto dvd in the UK,and then send them out to Cairo say, every 2 weeks post-haste?.

Its not just TM's that allow you to watch TPS.. other boxes do too.. any box that allows .bin files will do fine.. like the Dreambox :)
