I am installing a 96cm channel master today. I screwed my cm fedhorn to my inverto lnb and placed it on the dish. I am looking to recieve 1w. I have tryed with my cheap sat beeper and notting. I cant understand i cant get any satellites at all i have clear view. I only a few months ago installed a sky mini dish beside were the channel master is with no problem. As the cm uses a screw to tilt it its a bit harder than say the triax which i have done on lots of satellites with my cheap beeper. Do i need a more hi-tech meetre for the channel master.

No, the principle for aligning a 1m dish is the same as for a small one.

Can't say I'm fond of using a sat beeper, though some manage to get on with them OK. In the absense of a professional meter, your TM1000 receiver connected to a small TV would be the next best thing.

Maybe try and get the dish on 28E first, since you already have a dish facing that way, you have a rough idea of the azimuth at least.

I got it at 1 west. It needed a bit of a tilt backwards.

Well done. Yes, the dish elevation needs to be raised as you align closer to due South.
