Hi guys,

I have been offered a Philips Gregorian 1m? I thought they only did a 90cm on this dish?

My current setup is as follows :-

1M Orbital dish - mounted to a 2" mast
SG2100A Motor (Disecq)
Technomate 1500 Ci
Echostar AD 3000.

My second question is can you easily get pole mounts for these dishes? It has been fixed to a wall.

Final question - will it be too heavy for my SG2100 to drive, will the Echostar happily drive the Gregorians built in motor?

Cheers :)

The dish you have been offerred I think will be the 90cm, they are about 1m tall.

By replacing the polar mount with the az/el mount, the dish can be used with a Diseqc motor.

The motor used on the Fibo uses an optical sensor instead of a reed switch. The opto sensor needs a 5V DC supply. There is a mod to convert the motor to use a reed switch though.

Not sure about the pole mount, the one I had, someone had very crudely welded a pole to the back of the polar mount.
