I was chatting to the bloke who is setting up my system next week and i think i may have a problem,
I am installing an 80cm dish with twin LNBs and i did want to get Hotbird 13deg East and Eutelsat 16deg East but i have been told that with an 80cm dish the min sweep between the two is 6deg not 3 deg.
Is there anyway round this ie moulded LNBs etc as i cannot put up a motorised dish as this will upset the neighbours even more.
The reason i want Eutelsat is because i have been told that it is the only Satellite showing Premiership football this season.
Thanks Robo

I understand 6 deg is the normal monobloc spread, but where your advice has come from I am not sure regarding Eutelsat I do not know. There appears to be still a lot of uncertainty as to who will be showing what in the next season. So I suspect that you may be talking about a div 1 uplink on Eutelsat 16deg E

Yes and if you click the forum link that takes you throught to Alsat!!!... I have so little interest in football I will let someone else jump in with their thoughts on this obviously incorrect statement. There are other bouquets showing prem footy and of course S*y is one of them

I would beware of any installer who says you can only get Premiership football on Eutelsat 16deg East as that is wrong information.

Also you would struggle to get a stable signal in bad weather on Eutelsat 16deg East with a monobloc and a 80cm dish. And there are very few receivers that can get Premiership football on Eutelsat 16deg East.

I would not trust your installer - ask here for reliable advice.

No guarantees with this hobby - The Art cards advertised at the top of this forum have worked in the past. but there has been some doubt this year - do 'search' at the top for more information.

Last year (on Hotbird) the situation changed regularly - so don't invite all your mates round for the game unless you're sure you have it covered.
