My Satellite Setup
No satellite yet - Seeking info
My Location
Cyprus
Im trying to do a manual sat installation at my house and i am wondering if i will have any interference from the electrical cabling if the sat cable uses the same path, i.e. use the existing PVC pipes that carry the electrical wires for the sat cabling as well.
If not mistaken, the satellite signal carried by the cabling is within the GHz range so im not sure if (or how much) it will be affected by the 50/60Hz frequency of the AC current, hence my question.
Thanks all in advance
Chris

It would not be something I'd advise and certainly not for extended lengths.

Second that, especially if it's poor quality coaxial. I'd be inclined to run the cable separately.

Definately not adviseable if you can avoid it. Your mains wiring in your house will act like a big antenna and pick up all sorts of interference from fridge motors, hairdryers, switching spikes, combustion engines etc and this may be induced onto the RF cable. Your RF cable may be double screened, but give your signal the best chance it can get, and keep your signal quality up.
