Could you tell me what 'satellite feeds' are exactly are they just frequencies?Also i'd like to know the difference between 'softcam keys and Aes keys'.

Satellite feeds are the 'raw' unedited pictures sent to broadcasters. These can sometime be received on home equipment.

Aes (Advanced Encryption Standard) and Softcam (Software Conditional Access Module) k*ys are the same just different names.

Thanks for the reply gameboy.ok.i now know what 'Feeds' mean but i need to know what they are.Are they frequencies?Where can i find them or learn about them?

Technomate 5402 HD M2 Ci, DM7000s, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Promax HD Ranger+ spectrum analyser.

They are as Gameboy says, the raw transmissions from news gatherers and outside broadcasts, they are uplinked to a particular satellite in their unedited form for mixing by the broadcaster. They are normally transmitted as single channels taking up the whole of a transponder/frequency.

If you look down in the Transponders and Channels section, there is a thread by Satdude, which gives you some frequencies on the different satellites to check out.
