Hello!!
Let´s see, I have just moved to Spain from the UK, and am trying to find out what equipment I need to watch British TV.
I am planning in starting of with the correct receiver and I am almost set to buy from the following web page http://www.uk-satellite-tv.co.uk/index.html
I am thinking of buying the Pace DS430N plus a FTV Card, but to be honest the page does not inspire much confidence at all, I mean I am not sure whether It may be all false, and may not be sent the receiver at all!.

Could I please ask everybody for some advice whether you think I should proceed and buy!??
Or if anybody else has ever bought from this page (Which I dought!)

Anyway,
Thanks !
Rauland!

Hi

I don't think a FTV card is worth the trouble now that ITV has gone FTA. It is now only for ch4&5. I use a 40 €uro digital FTA box and get all the Beebs and ITV.

Hi Rauland

Get yourself down to the local DIY store or even the supermarket. Or just do a search on ebay.es for FTA and there's one there for 59€

Got mine from the local DIY superstore in France.

a simple FTA receiver will indeed do the trick for all BBC & ITV channels, and a few more, _BUT_ since you're located in South Spain you're gonna need a pretty big dish to get any signal from the narrowed beam coming from Astra 2. I'm not sure how big, but I think it will be 1m or more. So be sure to inform first.
If you want to receive more channels, a sky package is necessary. You might take a look at the following site : http://www.skydigitalcards.com/ - you will also need a Sky digibox, so if you're going for a Sky package no need to buy the FTA receiver, the Sky digibox will do the trick.

I was reading that site you quote yesterday and everything on it seems 100% correct and accurate to me. If you need a viewing card then investigate ways to get one with a UK address without paying high fees to an offshore company though.
