The main signal meter is set for the default transponder on Astra 28.2, to check what signal you are getting, do the following:

Services/System Setup/Press 0-1-Select/manual Tuning and type in the settings for a FTA hotbird channel.

The only help I will give you is do not bother wasting your time with a sky box on Hotbird, the stb is crippled by limited FEC and SR and frequency rates and cannot receive the vast majority of channels as it is designed for sky UK. You will be limited to a maximum of 50 channels as well as they will all need adding, bin it or sell it don't waste your time or ours

Does the satellite dish point at 13E? If you haven't turned the satellite dish towards the right satellite then you can't receive the right signal.

BUT. as Topper says, the Digibox is so frustrating in the way it works that, even if you get it to work, after a short while you will want to buy a separate receiver.

I have another decoder but I would like to use the sky digibox tambiene
but I find the channel that tells me there but when I do not see the menu says there is no satellite when I have done everything I set the lnb's decodificiador
the signal is good but not working etc.
Then the decoder used for something or throw it?

The only way to use a Sky digibox is to use Add Channels and then view using Other Channels.

You can forget Nilesat in Scotland - it would need a huge dish. Hotbird is an easy catch even on small dishes, although a Sky digibox is not a good receiver to try to use away from the Sky uk transmissions.

Hotbird is an easy catch in SW Scotland.

60cm Dish and any old DVB-S Receiver (other than a Sky box!!)

Edit: AS is on the rocket fuel again.
