Is it possible to receive Hotbird in good quality using a 60 cm dish.
I live in West Yorkshire

Yes, but you may get a little break up in bad weather conditions, an 80cm would be better. :)

Would it only go down in rain.
I don't think I can get an 80 dish on the chimney stack.

Check the condition of the stack carefully - dishes can bring chimney stacks down in galeforce winds, and you really dont want a couple of tons of brickwork joining you in the bedroom one winters night!

Depends on the quality of the dish and LNB, plus how well it is aligned, you will certainly get dropout in very heavy rain or snow. :)

Buy the best 60cm dish you can afford, there can be a big difference in performance.

you should recieve hotbird ok on the 60cm dish but will have some issues with bad weather

i use an 80cm atm in west yorkshire and its fine. i guess you wanting hotbird for art sports ?
