Hi there. I am a completely useless on this matter. I got a technomate receiver not long ago and paid for installation and all the setting up. However somehow I manage to mess up with the settings and I'm killing myself to have both satellites astra and hotbird working at the same time as they were. Please help me!!!! Thanks

Which Astra - there are several.

Astra 2 @ 28E (UK)
Astra 1 @19E (Largely German)
Astra 3 @ 23.5E (Dutch, German, Balkans)
Astra 4 @ 4.8E (Nordic, Russian)

What dish arrangement - ie Multi-LNB, Motorised, ...............

You'll want a multi-LNB one - i.e. two LNBs on a single dish sitting on a bracket.

"At the same time" suggests a dish with a multi-LNB bracket, so your problem is likely to be the DiSEqC settings in the Receiver.

If you can navigate to these settings, you should find that Hotbird is set to A , or 1, or something else simple and recognisable and Astra 2 is set to B, or 2. Possibly they should be the other way around. But I suspect you'll find they are (wrongly) both the same.

But it is what you haven't yet told us that is the key: What changed between it working ok and not working ok?
