Advice Needed How can my satlook g2 work, does has to run with batteries as i thought with dc voltage that would work, am i wrong by saying this

My Satellite Setup
i got a Satlook micro G2 had it also for more that ten years, i find that the batteries on the finder to run it dies to fast , how can we use the finder only with DC voltage not batteries as the company does not sale batteries any more. also i find you have charge the finderor it won't work

@Davids installation : are you sure that that your external power supply is supplying the correct DC voltage (I assume as that's normal) AND with the correct polarity - IF the polarity is incorrect then, probably, the circuit in the meter (probably has a "blocking diode" that prevents a incorrect "polarity" supply - i.e. the +Ve & -Ve connections are reversed ) will block a supply of the "wrong polarity" entering and powering the sat meter. Check that with an electrical test meter if you have access to one.

Edited: clarification - for most equipment, the short centre contact of the plug on the power supply cable is normally "+Ve" and the longer outer contact is normally "-Ve".
