How do i receive VTV4 on Sky TV

Hi everyone,

i just got my sky tv put up today and i am looking for the vietnamese channel vtv4.

I have asked i few friends who have it and they said you have to do something to the disc outside can anyone help me with more information

they said something about hotbird 13e channel is need

this channel you require is not on the satellite that your sky dish is pointed at. sky dish is pointed at 28 degrees east of south.

You are correct that 13east is the sat you want, however a sky mini dish may not be sufficient. You will need a bigger dish, minimum of 60cm.

Also you will need a receiver, not a sky receiver but a versatile DVB (digital) receiver available from 50 quid

cheers for the advice i trying to get this for my mum to watch is there no way to get it by calling the sky people themselves!

No, they only deal with the Sky package, you will need a second dish for Hotbird and a separate receiver.

I can get it on a minidish down here in Kent.
But you're right a larger dish would be better for all weathers.

and Maplins are doing a couple of FTA receivers for £30 right now. The beta is very easy to use,
and would do for just one channel.
