how do i set up sky dish and box

just got new sky+,move old box and dish to friends home,getting no signal being received,but nothing has changed,many thanks

Are you saying you have fitted a new dish and have no signal ?

You have to line the dish up within a degree or so of the satellite you want.

In your case I presume 28E. That is 28 degrees east of south.

_www.dishpointer. com will give you the actual figures.

You need to find a south facing wall with a good view of the sky and stick the dish on it.

Set the elevation so that the dish is just tilting down slightly and slowly swing the dish from side to side until you get a signal. Monitor the signal using the receiver meter, or get a cheapo satfinder meter.
