Have a look at the following links of high resolution pictures taken using Hubble. Best with a large CRT monitor and not one of the el cheapo LCD offerings. A dark room also helps.
These show a single position in space, using multiple exposures to bring out the finer details. This is most likely an ongoing process, with further refining as and when the space telescope is in the right position.
