First cone off the immediate area surrounding the build site. Then, build up temporary ground stand for the dish to sit on while I build it.

Then Fit the parts of the dish together

Next complete the web structure by fitting the rim. Now it is ready to fit the 'petals' that will make up the dish face.

Now put the dish away inside the building ready for tomorrow when the crane will come to lift it onto the roof

Here comes the crane that will lift the dish up onto the roof

Here comes the 3.1Metre satellite dish, looking like the full moon in spring.

Up on the roof things are getting more exciting as we contemplate our next set of manoeuvres.

The Dish is lowered by the crane carefully onto it's mounting mast.

Now all that has to be done is line up this
motorised dish to track the arc, (that is the line of satellites as they appear in the sky)

This dish was completed by fitting a Quattro output LNB to feed a rack of multiswitches down in the communications room. However it is shown here with a C120 universal LNB which was used to line up the dish using our spectrum analyser.

Very Spectacular, regarding COOLS comments,as a qualified HES officer,i would like to see the 2 person rope trick he uses to install dishes of this size on public/Hotel buildings.

Do you have to use a crane to lift it up?

Can't you bring all the parts and assemble everything on the rooftop?

Of course, your choice ;)

Both ways are good.
