Hi there,

I’ll be grateful if you can kindly help me with the following, as I am new and a novice in this field.

I want to receive digital tv mainly to receive Indian Programmes, such as ZeeTV, Sony TV Asia etc.

To receive these channels, am I forced to go on the Sky Subscription route (which I don’t prefer) or
Can I receive these through any Free toAir Recevers, in which case please kindly state.

Any suggestions or advice on this matter, on how to go about to this end, would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you all.

Theres a few Indian channels in the clear on Hotbird 13E:

(pale blue channels are in the clear.)

On the Sky UK platform, most of the Indians are encrypted, - and to add insult to injury are an additional monthly cost on top of the Sky subs. (usually £10-15 higher for each package.)
