Hi

I've just purchased the Fortec Star 6100 with an embedded Matrix Reloaded CAM, is it possible to view the firmware version of my cam with this setup?

Also how can I update it when newer versions become available? Will additional hardware be required?

Will using a Seca 2 programmed titanium card with this setup enable me to view $ky sports on $ky italia?

Sorry for all the noobish questions, I've been out of the satellite game since I dumped my analogue setup a few years back.

Thanks in advance.

to check what version you have you do the following.
1)Go to your receiver and see where it says CI or common interface
2)when you open this then should should be able to what does it say(e.g.MR1055, ME110 etc.)

you can upgrade in the newest version you need, 2 or 1 fun card 6, or 3 or 2 or 1 fun card 5.
you also need a programmer to program the cards.

with the tit card and the latest tit files you can watch Sky italia but only with MR1070 or MR110.

Cheers for the advice.

My version was MR1080, is that unsuitable?

Can you recommend a good programmer that will do funcard's and titanium cards?

Thanks,

The tit card wont work on that version, you need tp upgrade it to the latest version that is MR110 and it will be fine.
